Summer of Kevin, Annie (Supporting)

A family takes a vacation to a lake house with a pool—a tired mom, a useless dad, two older sisters who want to party, a little sister who can’t swim, and a teen brother who has never been into swimming but has his heart set on making the team. What could go wrong?

Genevieve loved playing the youngest member of this family in a beautifully written, funny film about what taking a vacation together really looks like. While her brother (played by a hilarious actor and new friend) is coming of age, she adorably floats through the background—until she is not floating anymore.

She got the chance to do her first stunt— “drowning,” and managed to do it so realistically at one point the on-set lifeguard almost paused filming to save her. She loved bonding with her film family over the week—a super talented team of actors, and the crew and directing team was a group of stars.

It was also fun to film “on location” for the first time—filming was at a beautiful lake house in southern Illinois, which meant a week of hotel waffles for breakfast—super bonus!
