Genevieve was her biggest, weirdest self playing Lavender in Matilda at The Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin!
This was an epic show with a supremely talented cast that included old and new young performer friends and a group of the kindest, funniest adults imaginable. The directors Shanna VanDerwerker and Justin Brill created such a beautiful, hilarious show and made a community out of the whole group—this played out on stage and behind the scenes.
Genevieve loved attacking cake, intensely trying to read, and directly addressing the audience in her monologue about her plans to rebel against the evil Miss Trunchbull. This was her first experience in the round. The choreography by Shanna and Morgan DiFonzo was epic. We can’t imagine a better way to spend the summer than enjoying Frosty Freeze after performing at Fireside with this group of incredible humans!
