Sometimes I Imagine Your Funeral, Young Chloe

Genevieve is so grateful for the experience of playing Young Chloe in Sometimes I Imagine Your Funeral, an extremely moving and powerful short film by writer and director Vince Dixon.

The film aims to shed light on what it feels like to be adjacent to addiction and to explore this difficult subject with compassion and care. It is based on Vince’s real-life experience of losing his sister Lauren to a fentanyl overdose in 2021.

We drove to Vince’s hometown of Fishers, Indiana, just outside of Indianapolis to film. Several of Vince’s family and friends were involved in the film, including shooting in the home of a childhood friend. The whole experience was authentic and beautiful storytelling. Genevieve loved portraying the carefree, light, unburdened young siblings being siblings scenes in the film.

Vince is a lovely human, and he and his team were incredible to work with. He is a beautiful filmmaker, and the film will definitely have an impact as it is screened in communities across the country to fuel important conversations regarding substance use disorder and overdose.
